What do you do when your child’s birthday falls in the dead middle of Winter in Minnesota? You celebrate their half birthday! That’s exactly what our client decided to do for her daughter, K’Nedy’s, 4 ½ birthday last summer. Elevated Style Events planned this exciting summer tea party with safety in mind.
We were able to make this tea party COVID-safe by hosting it outdoors with plenty of room for parents to spread out and social distance from one another. Masks and hand sanitizer were provided to all guests and their parents. The kids’ table was stationed in one distinct area where all eating took place. For the rest of the party, kids enjoyed a large backyard to run around and play games.
Guests were invited to have Afternoon Tea in the garden with the birthday girl. Simone Meade-Holt, of Masimona, designed these adorable invites and menus for the occasion. Our theme colors were a mix of purples and pinks, with blue and gold accents.

We spared no detail in setting the table for afternoon tea. From chargers and plates to cups and goblets, guests were treated to a royal good time. A Kid’s Dream Party Rentals supplied rentals for the party, including the table and kid-size chairs, dessert cart, and cake stands.

No table is complete without floral centerpieces, and Nune Décor created these gorgeous arrangements with varying shades of pink and purple. Flowers were used in several other areas of the party, including in the balloon arches, on the dessert cart, and even in the punch.

Sugarspoon Desserts created all of the sweet treats served at the tea party, as well as the balloon arches. Desserts included a three-tier caked, cheesecake shooters, cakepops, cookies, macarons, and assorted petit fours.

Working behind the camera all afternoon was Mariah of Mariah Joy Photography. Her works brings the tea party to life and give the birthday girl memories to last a lifetime!
